i hear you lars, i,ve been reading up on all the new stuff they heve out now, trickflow and others, i dont really like the looks of their stuff, like the stock upper better for looks but the trickflow just seems to performe better then gt40? it would be perfect to go gt40 for more stock looks but i need the hp.
There is lots of good performance parts available for the 302. I went through at least 4-5 different setups in my mind before I decided to go the route I did. TrickFlow makes some pretty nice looking parts(construction wise). The heads I had were very nice, time will tell if they perform as well as they look. They have a good track record though.
I'll be running a GT40 tube intake on my 347, which leaves some power on the table, but my car is mostly a street car anyhow that will likely never see more then 5K rpms. So I chose to use my GT40, cause I already have it, and it will help sell the notion that it is just a 302 with heads.
