While my 1993 GT was in the shop for a few repairs, I had them go ahead and remove the original radiator and install my new FRPP radiator to save me some time. I knew in advance that the FRPP rad was a little bigger, but it is often installed in Fox cars with just a little tweaking on the radiator support brackets. However... They used zip ties to secure the top of the fan shroud!!!
What is the correct and more secure way to attach the upper fan shroud for a FRPP radiator? I can rig up something secure, but I want it done right...or not at all. What do you guys do?
My buddy told me he always ran his w/o the fan shroud and never had a problem. I don't want to do that. The car is a daily driver and it gets over 100+ degrees in Texas and I bought the larger radiator to help prevent the possibility of overheating issues in the first place.
(I am kicking myself for not spending the extra $100 on the direct fit Fluidyne!)
