i have a cherry picker, and one pretty thick chain that will hold just fine. my question is, what is the best way to pull a shortblock and tranny out of my car?
Thats how the 4cyl and auto out of my car, just unbolt everything get the hook over the front of the motor so it comes out at a better angle jack up and pull away untill it completely out i had to lift the tail of the trans to clear the front of the car since i was in my garage it couldnt go up all the way. I made the mistake of not draining or capping the trans and it spilled every drop in my floor because it almost stands up on its end for the angle to come out as one. Not a tough job at all just be sure to unbolt everything including dropping the trans cross member and yank the radiator for more room. I also left all the assecories on the motor just undid the power steering lines.
