bet you've never seen this 2v intake manifold

It's called the Logan Motorsports 2v intake manifold. I've already called and asked them about the intake. It costs $1095 which isn't too bad considering its looks and that you don't have to buy a plenum. It DOESN'T fit under the stock hood, it looks very tall from the pictures. They are made to fit with a cobra/bullitt throttle body. 18rwhp at peak and 33rwhp at 6500rpm and that's over the accufab plenum on an N/A engine.

I'm thinking about getting one since I've already got a 4" hood but it wouldn't be until a few months, but I might just use that money to get my headers installed and some more bolt ons.

That looks like the sort of thing I could make in my backyard.

A real, higher budget, company needs to research and produce a GOOD one. I know there is plenty of power on the table.

That's the cheapest replacement intake manifold I've seen. I think the cheapest ones I saw in MM&FF was somewhere around $1200.

That's the old Logan Motorsports intake manifold. It came out several years ago. That is called a sheetmetal intake for those who said it looked homemade. That's what they look like. I had one in my shop when they first came out and the build quality was excellent.

Version 2 of the LMS intake has been made and tested now and it has shown over 30 RWHP gains up top on N/A 2V cars.

Read the article though. It was dyno'd on a PI swapped engine with a .020 overbore, ported heads, cams and whatnot.

Probaly wouldnt do squat for a near stock or bolt on engine, at least not for the price.

I wasn't talking about cars in any articles or I would have provided a link. These were cars at other shops I know that were tested with the LMS version 2 intake. Anytime you have a motor with ported heads and more displacement, you are going to benefit from a good intake manifold even more. The guys at Matt Hill Motorsports had a stock bottom end nitrous 2 valve car that made an additional 42 peak RWHP with the addition of this intake manifold. But the track is where it's at, so until I see some track times from this, it's hard to say.

I don't have any personal experience with the LMS 2. Check on modularmisfits and matthillmotorsports, they will probably know more about it.

Yep, sheetmetal intakes are where its at ...if they are built right ofcourse. That looks simular to whats used on the pro mod drag cars haha.
I wouldnt mind having it....but the thought "how much power do I need????" comes to mind LOL

Ill be pushing the bottom end as it is haha.

shetmetal intakes is what is on serious fuel injected motors, they all look like that, that is a high quality intake.. if you see one of those intakes on a car your about to run you can bet it's not close to stock.

BTW why talk about what it will do on a stock motor.. that intake is not intended for a stock motor.
