This guy (or gal) is claiming to be selling a "1 owner" 03 Cobra but looking at their feedback proves otherwise... they just bought this car used (off ebay) from a dealer in Michigan only 2 weeks ago and now it appears that they are trying to flip it for a small profit. The seller's reserve is, of course, a few grand over what they paid for it 2 weeks ago. Also, in the member Q&A the seller says that the car has not "purposely" been driven in incliment weather, how does he/she know? They've only had the car 2 weeks! I posted the link to the auction below and here is the item number: 200080328146. Tell anyone who is looking on ebay for a Cobra to avoid this dishonest seller! As Mustang hobbists, we all need to keep our eyes out for trash like this.

There is another 03 cobra conv. on there with a "buy it now" of only $6000. It's one of those where they tell you to email them at an email other than thru the "ask seller a question" link and they'll tell you where to send the payment. Then you send the payment via western union to somebody in the UK. And, as I'm sure you know, you never see or hear anything else from them. You'd think ebay could stop this stuff.

If you feel the auction is truly fraudulent, why aren't you reporting it to the eBay administrators?

I emailed that guy and he said it got transferred from his company to him personally. Obviously he isn't counting himself when he says one owner.

It's genuine, no problem there I ran the vin. It's just a tad dishonest if you ask me, he knows by saying its a 1 owner that will get him more money on a car like that. He may be in posession of "technically" a 1 owner car according to car fax, but people do this all the time, they buy and sell cars so fast they never report themselves as ever being a "legal" owner. It just looks like thats what this guy is doing.

Although he pulled it off ebay, probably sold it locally, I do not see any fraud there. He got it for a good price and hoped to flip for a profit, so what? That is called capitalism.

Most likely, he hadn't transfered the title, so it would be legally considered a one owner car. All cars have more than one owner if you really look at the chain of custody. Ford owned the car at one time, then the dealer held ownership at one time, then the person buying it held ownership. That is three people, but with only one registered owner showing on the carfax. The dealer received it in trade, that is a forth owner and so on and so forth.

problem with that is that it's ILLEGAL! if he is a private individual, and by the looks of the auction he is, then you MUST register the car in your name before selling it. I have no problem with him trying to flip the car, but saying its a 1 owner will get him more money, and it is in fact, not a 1 owner.

Looks like a clean car, I would only buy it if I looked at in in person though. I would never buy a car on ebay.

If he is jumping a title, don't worry about that. It is a felony, and he could face jail time and a 5 grand fine.
