I have two sets of tires. One set is the B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A's that I run on the street and the other set is the M.T. ET Streets that I run at the track. Of course, I have to change them when I do go to the track, but that takes all of 5 minutes with a cordless impact gun and socket. The impact gun even works to raise the scissors jack too!
I like the B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A's (not drag radials) for the street because they produce a nice smooth ride. I won't use the ET Streets on the pavement because if I get a nail in them, I can't go racing! Plus, they have a tendency to sway because there's no steel belts inside of them. Also, if you've got nice paint, the ET Streets will throw every grain of sand, pebbles and anything else onto the car because they're so sticky. That's another reason why I won't use them on the street.
If you're going to be on the street 99% of the time, I'd just go for some good radial tires. I'd also invest in a pair of ET streets on another set of rims for the track use. That way there, there's no compromises.
He is talking about the ET Street radials. My Bfgs throw plenty of **** all over the car especially when they're hot. I was messing around with a buddy on his bike on my way to work one time and he said he couldn't get close because he was getting pelted with rocks haha.
From what I have seen, from Josh and a few other people, the M/Ts seem to be junk on the street. They work really well at the track for a lot of people, but they don't last for **** and never seemed to hook nearly as good as the bfg's on the street. You were with us when my bfgs did their job at the track on my car hahaha. What happened to the 28s anyway?

get the mt's, ive had both and the bfg would have to take a huge burnout like a nitto to hook up as well as the mt. I just barely spin these over and I can slip the clutch at 3500 just barely and leave hard on the street...

You're right, they don't last 20k miles, they lasted less than 2k on my buddy's car with 300rwhp and blew off every time he stood on it. Then the bfg's hooked better and lasted much longer when the car made 500rwhp. They would dead hook on a 10mph 1st gear hit freezing cold on a 40degree night making over 500 to the ground. Slipping the clutch at 3500? are you kidding? You like to 60ft 2.4? I'm talking foot through the boards 6k rpm launches on the street.
