interesting i only have the single filament HID (low-beam) i would also like to know if anyone has them

I'm definitely upgrading to a bixenon kit one of these days, they are superior lighting, i wouldn't go over 6-8k kit because IMO, it looks tacky. Remember the more white it is, the better the lighting is.
Yea, I will be picking 5000k-6000k.
I just need better lighting, we all know how the stock lighting sucks.

i have it on my 4300k headlights, the light is intensely white and i only notice a small difference when switched to high beams, given the driving/fog lamps switch off when high is momentarily on.
I have the BiXenon from Stangmods.com but its not a motorized bulb like that. The light is great and i can pass a roadside inspection with the Hi/Lo if needed.

i have heard the bi-xenon kits dont work too well. i guess it depends on the kit, but it looks like something that would be prone to malfunctioning and breaking easily.
I have HIDs for the headlights and foglights now, and they're damn bright enough for me to not need hi-beams. I did however purchase an HID kit for my headlights that has separate regular filiment bulbs right next to the HID xenon bulb, to be used as the hi-beams. They are so dim, they're completely useless except to show that I have both hi and low beams to pass a roadside inspection as stated above.
Keep in mind that just because you're installing HID's, doest mean its going to throw the light perfectly and smoothly across the road like an acura. Our housings scatter light with hot spots in random places.... the fog housings are even worse, as i found out after installing my HID fogs last week....but they do light up everything very nicely.

Because that's not really true be-xenon.
It acheives the same function, but it's purely an aftermarket conception to solve the problem of a high and low beam.
True bi-xenon uses a HID projector that raises a flapper to projeck light above the cut-off line inside the projector. It uses one bulb, but low beams have a cut-off line while the highs do not.
There are some cars that achieve the same with halogen bulbs (new Maxima)
That kit is trying to do the same thing...but in a sorta of hack method of moving the focus point. It's not as efficient since it's using a reflector not even designed for 1.) HID light and 2.) 2 focus points.
But why bother with the high-low if low beam only kits are brighter than halogens anyway? Not like you will pass inspection by having a high beam...the kit is illegal period

I'm running a regular 6000k HID kit... I feel that there's no real need for high beams as long as your horn works... haha. I have HID fogs too.

I used to have a plug and play hid kit and didn't like how they looked. So now im spending $650 and getting a full hid retrofit into the stock headlights, the company doing the install are using infiniti fx projectors, i'll have low and hi operation and everything is gonna look amazing. I just have to wait till march 10th because he has a long wait.
$650 isn't bad. I've seen some guys do retrofits and pay upwards of $800. They look awesome too because the lights look stock, but the light output is amazing and done "correctly"
the place is www.retro-solutions.com, they said its gonna be the first time doing the 99-04 mustang headlights but they've done a bunch of 05-up already. He knows how the headlights look and he said its gonna look perfect when its all done. Everything is included, fx projectors, ballasts, custom harness, 4300k bulbs and he's painting the inside of the headlight black. Im pretty sure im gonna be one of the only people with a real hid retrofit in our headlights, could be wrong though. I've seen the work he did with my friends rsx and you would think his car came stock with them, its flawless. If anyone else is gonna get it done mention my name, maybe he'll give me a discount or something, its randy.
