Anyone know if there is a replacement alternator that puts out more juice? When I'm bumpin hard my lights dim. If not an alternator, are there any other fixes?
There is nothing available, yet. I have talked to most of the big vendors, and they said the 05+ has some computerized stuff that hasn't been worked out. I assume it has to do with the internal regulator, but I am not sure. I could use a 200-220 myself. We just have to give it time.
Have you upgraded the Big 3? I suggest that you start with that- it helps a LOT. I ran all 1/0 except for the short run to the factory distribution panel under the hood, and I may upgrade that just for the look. I use 4# for that. All wire used was either p3 or Knu. Both are available in several transluscent colors to match up to your car. I used a silver/red and red for +, and silver black/ silver for -.

Big 3 is upgraded wire from alternator to battery, battery to frame, and engine-block to frame. I also upgraded the wire to the distribution panel and to the starter. 1/0 # or ag, or ga, or guage is REALLY large wire. 4# wire is what most people run to their amps nowadays. As the number gets smaller, the wire gets larger. At "0", you add numbers to it so you get 2/0, 3/0 and so on.
