I'm thinking about putting my old heads back on, I was going to change the cam as well. I don't reallt like the trick flow set up, it feels slower than stock.... anyways, what is the biggest cam I can have, keeping my TB and trick flow intake? Thanks guys...

id like to know the same answer, weird how aftermarket heads feel slower then stock? seeing as they definatly flow better, probably somthing else wrong with your car. I do know alot of the people with stock heads seem to run the steeda 19, but i think that is more popular with the GT EL7 heads , not sure about the cobra heads

well if your old heads were the stock gt40's then I would call Ed curtis and have him get you one, since I guess you will sell your TFS heads and cam you could afford to get a realy good custom one. From what I have read the gt40's in stock unported form like about .480 to 490 with max .500 lift with more on the ex. to the amount of 8-12 and dur. also split fav. the exh. with in a range of 4-6 more.

Without trying to go into too much jargin or detail, I will tell you this:

1) Your PCM has to relearn it's new parameters. Something wasn't installed correctly if the car is still slower after about 40 key starts and 4 hours of driving time.

2) How big can the cam be? It depends. Where do you want the valve events to start?

3) A common mistake is to put too much cam in a car. You don't need to know the limits of the stock bottom end for purposes of cam sizing. If you are wondering for purposes of cam sizing, you are selecting a camshaft that is out of your optimum operating range.

Ahhhhh, dude! Stick with the TFS heads! IF your car was faster with the stock GT-40's than it is now something is wrong. Maybe just slide the stock cam back in and pick up some low end power to make it feel better? Definately not the heads.

Fix the problems and keep them. Losing to neon’s (srt) is not cool. Keep the heads I think with a good tune and fixing the coolant leak you will be happy.

O-rings suck.

What kind of gaskets are you using?
