Bilstein or Tokico?

Well I got my H&R Super Sports and MM C/C plates delivered so now I'm wondering what shocks/struts to install with them. I'm either going to get Bilstein or Tokico D-Spec adjustable. I've found the Bilsteins on ebay for the same price as the Tokicos on American Muscle. So what are everyones opinions?

I love my BIL's on my 91. Lots of people like Tok's though. I don't have any experience with them however.

Bil's! No experience with tok's either but I've had mine on for a few years already. No problems and feels the same since day one.

I have been running Tokico's for 2 years with H&R SS and MM c/c plates and have been happy with the setup. I don't think you can go wrong with either, specifically since they are the same price.

I have owned both bilstiens and tokico and I can tell you from experience that the bilstiens are a better shock/strut hands down. The bigest difference was over rough pavement as the bilstiens seem to smooth the car out a little body roll seems to be less then the tokicos were on the stiffest setting.

I don't have any experience with the Tokicos, but I love my Bilsteins. They do a great job of controlling wheel motion without being uncomfortably stiff; in fact, they actually improved ride quality when compared with the factory dampers.

No experience with the Bilsteins, but everyone I know that runs them loves them.

I have the Tokico Blues, and they honestly feel a little stiff for my liking. I'm running stock Bullitt springs with the Tokicos, and it is stiffer than most other Mustangs I've ridden in. Not sure if its the springs, shocks, or combination.

I've had both, and the Bils were superior to the tokico. Better warranty too.

Welp, guess on Friday I'll be going ahead and ordering some Bilsteins and finally get around to lowering my car! Then save up time for wheels/tires...and some FLSFC's somewhere along the way.

Bilsteins are good for those who drive their care and want softer suspension. My DSpecs are adjustable from race stiff to Cadillac soft and I've had them for 40k miles without any issues. I can adjust them for Daily driving (which is 4 from full stiff) to road trip highway soft (6 from full stiff) or to neutralize the car for handling (1.5 turns on the shocks from full stiff). Bilsteins are great and have a lifetime warranty and are full compatible for both front and rear coilover setups if you groove the shocks.

I am a full believer in Koni's for a coilover setup however, they are compatible with front and rear coilovers as well without having to groove the rear shocks. My next set will probably be Koni's.

But, if your looking for a quality non adjustable Bilstein is the best, although Koni's for a bit more are adjustable and ready for coilover conversions.

How many other of you guys have had DSpecs?

D-spec. They're 569 on American Muscle. Found similar price for Bilsteins on Ebay.

i have tokico's and im not impressed with em at all... i liked my KYB's better.

when the time comes. im going to try Bilsteins.

Just got my Bilsteins in today. Should be installing them, my H&R SS's, and MM caster/camber plates on Thanksgiving. I'll be sure to post some before and after pics. Then, hopefully have some silver FR500s by January or February.
