Hey folks,
Looking to install Bilstein shock and struts on my ’85 with FMS “C” springs. According to www.stangsuspensions.com Bilstein does not make a strut for this year and as such would have to decide on a different manufacturer or install spindles from a 87-93.

My end goal is to keep this thing a sleeper retaining the 10 hole / 4 lug wheels

Questions …
Will I have to get new rotors / calipers brake lines?
Are the 87-93 brakes a significant improvement over the stock hardware?
Backspacing issues with the 87-93?
Are these brakes from the 87-93 from all Mustangs V8 and V6?

Thanks as always for the help

I have some '90 front spindles, rotors, brakes and lines I will sell dirt cheap, in MO. Don't quote me on this but I don't think the back spacing is different, and the V6, 4 cylinders are different then the V8's I believe.

thanks for the reply CU racing ...

Yesterday I hit the junkyard for 87-93 spindles and Pep Boys for 93 Lincoln VII calipers. Searching for 11 inch / 4 lug rotors online right now.

From everything I have recently read you are correct regarding backspacing and
V6 - V8 sizes.

thanks again
