I just have plenty of Zaino on my car. When I have bird droppings on it I take out a spray bottle I keep in the trunk, which has soap and water in it, and just spray it, let it sit for a few seconds and wipe right off with a cotton or microfiber cloth. If I have a fresh coat of Zaino products including the gloss enhancer, and I spray the soapy water sometimes the droppings just slide off with out wiping!!

The problem is letting the droppings sit for a long period before trying to wipe them off ('cause the droppings contain both feces and urine and the urine can etch the paint). Take a quick look at your car before you drive it and deal with it right away and the droppings won't etch your paint and will be easier to get off. I also avoid parking next to where birds like to hang out. I try not to park next to trees & bushes and avoid parking under power/telephone lines etc.....

there was some kind of pre-moistened towelette type thing I saw on TV once for just this problem. Sorry but I have no idea what it was called.

i got hit bad the other day. was going on the freeway at about 75mph then all of the sudden something was sprayed all over my windshield on the drivers side. didn't know what it was till i got out of the car and got home. i was just going under an overpass and didn't know if some tool decided to toss some drink over the egde or if it was a bird. there was a HUGE spot on the hood. it hit the hood then sprayed onto the windshield. i had to get the whole car washed ... it looked bad!

i'm gonna take ur suggestion Hoppy, goin to the store later anyways will pick up a spray bottle and some rags.

Always keep a spare bottle of water, rags, and spray wax in your trunk. The worst is when you get crap the size of pancakes on the convertible top. Yeah, if you leave bird sh** on your car, your paint will fade; usually takes 1 week if you don't have some good wax on there. Some bastard left droplets of ink all over my hood a few days ago, luckily I have so much wax on there, I was able to take it off with my emergency detailing arsenal.

Having a high quality wax/polish I think is vital to protect your paint from stuff like this. The more the better........I'm a Zaino believer!!!!

Just use some spit and rub it with your bare palms. And for the hard to remove poop, fingernails always work best. I recommend keeping a bottle of Mequiers Quik-Detailer Mist & Wipe spray in your trunk along with a role of those blue shop paper towels they sell at auto parts stores. I just started keeping a few essencial claening things in my trunk.
