With any luck, Interest rates will go down as time goes on.
There is a huge housing bubble that could pop shortly.
Tens of thousands of loans that should have foreclosed are being propped up by the Government due to policies from the last administration.
Those loans should have never been made in the first place.
Clean that mess up and things might look good for a re-fi.

79,800 - Oil changed

The brakes haven't been acting right lately, and I thought there might be an air bubble or something in there. So I bled them, and did an oil change while the car was up.

All things considered, I'm pretty happy. I can't predict the future, but I imagine I'll land on my feet outside of the military now that I'm doing data science. Even if not, retirement and retirement accounts will take me through the finish line.

I have an awesome Excel spreadsheet if you're interested in it. I didn't even make this one. It's just great at doing mortgage loan amortization and stuff. The house was 480, I put down 300. I'm borrowing $180. Mortgage principal and interest only are going to be $1,458 a month. However, my intent at least up until a year before I retire is to pay an additional $3,800 a month.

I bought an LMR left rear LX lens a couple years back and have hated it. So, when I swapped nicer tails onto Father Time, today, I swapped one its OEM lights onto Black Jack. The hand-me-downs continue.

Here's a couple before pics so you can get an idea of what I'm talking about:

Not sure the pics do it justice. I once had a guy stop at the same gas station to tell me that my left lower bar light was out, lol. He was sheepish when I told him it was just an aftermarket reflector.

What did LTCs make when you were in after adjusting for inflation? I think they do pay us better, but I doubt it's a crazy difference.

I finally got around to swapping out the 1/4 windows. The last owner covered them with glues 1/4 trim, which flew off at high speed and left behind glued and torn up trim.

When I took Father Time's windows off and replaced them with the best I could find, I sent the OEM ones to Greg Kaminski to be refurbished and he did a great job, as they were not in good shape. Anyways, Black Jack still looks pretty rough, but every step is one in the right direction.

The driver side was a real PITA. Someone used some kind of hard tack instead if butyl and I had to pry the trim off, which broke the glass.

This may have been my brake drag issue:

The one on the left is my old Father Time Baer PBR caliper. On the right is the northracecars.com kit. Look at that tab and how it doesn't quite fit. That caliper, when pushed and pulled, danced around in that mount and I just didn't know better. I thought it was weird, and I must admit that it's an advantage to walk into the garage and inspect and test my other cars to ID differences. Anyways, I swapped the pads out, and on the test drive, no dragging, so far.

Oh, also, I've never been a fan of the 'swept area' issue on the inner radius of the Baer kit, but from this pic, it's obvious that's also a problem on standard SN-95 Cobras.

I wonder if there was some silly part in the box that looked like junk that was discarded.

I only mention it because I've seen "cheats" like that before. Two part part numbers, same part, with/without adaptor thingies.

Rear seats:
After almost 2 years since I installed the Corbeaus, I finally got around to reupholstering the rear seat tops.

Timing adjustment:
I'm taking a 700 mi round trip to Crystal City, VA in Black Jack, this week, and I've been meaning to do this for a while, but I've finally returned the timing tables to stock -- about a 6* drop from my tune -- so that I can run on 87 octane. Beer math says that'll save me $800/yr. Until the house is paid off and I know how long the Army will let me stay before retiring me, I'm in 'go mode' for paying off the mortgage & stacking cash.

When I finally install the J3 chip, I'll be able to switch between the premium & regular gas tune to make trips to the track or auto-x that much easier.

If you follow this build and are smarter than me on nitrous, can I run it on 87-octane at WOT when the whole timing table has been pulled back by 6* and my MSD box pulls another 6* for the nitrous?

My gut tells me that should be fine, but everything I've read says to run nitrous only on 93.

You just can’t be as aggressive on 87 as 93. As always just read the plugs and tune the fuel side.
