Black smoke under acceleration

When my car is all warmed up, I take it down tha road and if the throttle is about 75%+ open it will start to smoke pretty bad... especially once it gets over 3000 RPM... what could be causing that? It doesn't seem to smoke any other time... just when i'm gettin' on it

do you have any codes and did you convert to a carb. you are running rich for some reason. if you have a carb then maybe you need to adjust something. if it is still efi, while the engine is off, take the vacuum hose off of the fuel regulator and smell the hose ends. if it smells like gas then replace the regulator. i don't know what else to tell ya. check for vacuum leaks too.
