Black Smoke when accelerating hard

But i like spending other peoples money

In that case...I'm claiming intake gasket leak. Only $12 in parts and a quick afternoon of fun. Let me know if my random guess was close? I have no accountibility. I'm an internet personality with an avatar that causes members to ask me on dates repeatedly.

(The above was a joke. OP, please don't change your intake gasket)

But common it will be a fun couple hours of cursing and fun

Ok, so any resolve to this problem yet?

OP, if your interested in throwing parts or money at this problem I will gladly stand here with my catchers mitt ;)

Dorito horsepower Is a direct correlation to cubic ounces in the bag. Not much different from the displacement of your engine. We would obviously need to know if it was a family size bag or the 99¢ version.

Stop right where you are and don't change anything until you have dumped the codes and eliminated all possible code problems.

Post your codes and I will give you 5.0 Mustang specific code definitions and fixes.

I had not even thought of pulling the codes, the car has been sitting all winter and haven't really thought too much about it since I don't drive it in the snow. I have a code reader and book to tell what they mean so this weekend I'll go out and see what they tell me. Since Spring starts tomorrow it's time to check everything out and have it ready to enjoy. ...Thanks!

Mine use to blow black smoke when getting on the interstate when giving it a good amount of gas. Mine ended up being caused from my rear main seal leak. When I changed that, my car has yet to do it, and its been almost 4 months.
May I ask in all seriousness what a rear main would have to do with blowing black smoke which would be fuel related because oil related is blue smoke
