Looking for pics of a black spoiler (99) or whatever you have, on a green GT. just wanted to see how it would look. i wanna do something with the rear of the car and im not sure what i wanna do yet. i've been debating weather to move the spoiler back 2 inches, or paint it, or get a new one. black on green isnt always the best combo, i dont black black rims on a green car. but on any other car id say go for it.

So post up them pics if you have em'.

heres the car:

its the dark metalic green, not tropical.

Wow thats green? I dont see any green in that pic, looks as black as my car lol. I dont ever recall seeing a dark green mustang except for the bullitt's which can easily look black in pictures. I have saw some of the lighter green mustangs with flat black wings and they looked good...I dunno how well it would look on a dark green like that.

Wow it looks identical to DHG in those pics (my FAVORITE green on a stang). Whats the official color name? I dont recall "dark metallic green" as being an official Ford color.....

DHG (dark highland green) is my favorite color of green on stangs. Im not a fan of tropic or electric green. I've never seen a "dark green satin clearcoat", it looks a lot like DHG.

DHG is a favorite of mine!

I first, too, thought your car was black. But this dark satin thing you got going on is sweet too. I think a black spoiler would only work with a darker tint and dark wheels on your car. Maybe even a smoked out headlights. Just my opinion...

Dark Green Satin is a relatively rare color for GT's, & IMO is a bad@$$ color. Sometimes it looks green, sometimes it looks like a dark gray, & other times can look like black too... I think it was only available in 98-99?

I didnt know it was that rare! i thought it was just always a bleh green no one really liked.. but now that i think of it, it is unique. i never see a dark green stang. I guess its unique. i think it will grow on me.

and yeah, when people see my car they are like dude, nice black stang *looks around* what black stang?!? YOURS DUDE!! and im like ahha its green man, and they swear it looks black. i guess at the right angle it does look black.

thanks for the pictures bro, im kinda afraid to move the spoiler back.. cause i dont wanna drill the holes then decide i dont like it and id have to rear-clear it to look good cause the car was repainted a few months ago.. so the colors would be off. and idk if i wanna deal with the bs of paint plugs and all that BS!

I was actually just doing some figure compiling on production numbers, so I thought I'd chime in. All figures I used came from Yellow Mustang Registry (1999 Mustang Production Numbers).

Dark Satin Green's Paint code was FU (LOL)
In the New Edge body style, it was only available in 1999.
It was on 8761 Mustangs, out of a total of 126,067 built in 1999. That's 7% of total production for 1999.
If you factor in all New Edge Mustangs (not counting Cobras), it is 1.1% of production for 1999-2004 New Edge Mustangs.
