Are these actually something you can buy? Or do you just spray paint them with some Fusion? My Forest Green tailights have huge oxidized spots on them and they look like ****. I would guess that you have to paint them, but I could have sworn I saw black bezel covers on ebay or something like that.

There are Saleen bezels out there .... but they're hard to come by nowadays. And yes, you can paint them black. I think they look better that way myself.

Bottom left pic in my sig. Crappy, but you can tell. I used Krylon Fusion .... but I think it'll look better with some clearcoat.

I just used a fine grit and lightly sanded them. Then REALLY fine grit. I just got the top layers of paint off so the paint would stick. Masking them up is what sucked.

Can you take the red lenses out, or do you have to mask over them?

You can't take them out. You have to mask them.

Repaint 'em green. Why would you want two mismatched black spots on the rear of your car?

It actually helps break up the amount of green in the back, but doesnt stand out as much as other colors.

You can barely tell its painted black, but it works well with the back top and the license plate..

I'd like to paint mine as well. Is it better to remove the whole taillight assembly and mask it off, or just leave them on the the car while painting?
Thanks

I just painted mine. Take them off, mask the lenses, sand, and repaint.

OMG THAT IS DIRT CHEAP!!!! It sux to miss adeal like that.

The Saleen covers are molded a little smaller in the openings so less of the red lens shows through but just a small amount. It is recognizable if you have them on there opposed to painting them. Painting them looks just as good though and it's cheaper, just make sure you prep good b/c flaking taillights looks terrible.

Tell me about it. It ended late and I kept bidding and I missed topping the highest bidder. I didn't really want or need them, but for the price I had to try and get them. Here's the link to the expired ebay listing, at least this way the other people here will be able to see the difference in the saleen and stock pieces:

KarKraft sells the export tails every once in a while, 94-95 is really hard to come by, but they have offered them in the past.

There was a guy on the corral selling a set of saleen bezels for $50. I wanted them but needed to prioritize my mod list.

I agree, but not the tail lights AND the saleen bezels as was just mentioned they normally sell for $50 themselves if not more.

Oh. Damn that a good deal. I thought you were just talking about the taillights alone.
