I have a recently aquired 87 lx. carfax and the odometer show 87k. first thing i did was a complete tune up becuase the guy i bought it from did not know anything. now, recently when i get hard on the gas, or downshift the right pipe is showing blue smoke. i replaced the pcv valve and plugs during the tune up, i did not see any evidence of burning oil on any of the plugs. a local mustang guru tells me its blow by from worn rings and when it gets worse i will need a rebuild. no smoking at all on start up or normal driving, and it only comes out of the right pipe. i probably will check compression on the right cylinders and i put some restore in the oil. someone else said worn rings show up on accel, while blowby and crank vent problems show on decel. hard to tell exactly when its doing it because it's not enough to see while driving. wtf?
