I’m looking for a winter project and was going to due a new block but I think I’m going to wait till it just goes BOOM. I was thinking about putting a set of VT Stage 2 Blower Cams in but would that be last straw on the engine? Mods are in sig. If I do this about how much power would I gain?

If I don’t do this I think I’m just going to due TB/Plenum, 3200-3800 Converter, and some new springs.

I would wait untill your ready for a new bottom end.You will make more power with the cams but it moves your power band up above the rpm limits of the stock rods. Also when you do cams it's a good idea to go with ported heads at the same time.I did a little research on this before putting a rod through my stock block.

Do I recal a thread about SOMEONE saying that he was not modifying his GT anymore because he had bought a 07 GT500???????????????????????

If I got the wrong guy (yea lol) then no, you should be ok....Tim will keep it in a safe range. You will probably EASILY make 450RWHP, unless tim REALLY cuts it back hard core.

LOL I know but I cant stop modin my baby. :D I was gonna stop and then we decided to keep it stock...at least for awhile. Plus until he gives it to me (Graduation Present  ) its only half mine so I can only drive it half the time. Even though we've put about 305 miles on it and I think Ive put about 275-300 on it lol.

By the way would stage ones be good or should I just get the stage twos and will my stock heads be ok?

i think the stage 2's and above require higher strength valve springs. or maybe it was just the stage 3 cams.

Id put em in and get it tuned and see what happens. you are right about being at the limit of the block, but unless you drive WOT all the time, if its tuned correctly i dont see it being a problem in the very near future, though it is on borrowed time.

As long as you are already planning a complete build...I would wait to do the cams/springs. You do need upgraded springs to do the stage 2 cams. You'll love the higher redline when you get your new cams/springs installed.
