blower motor only works on hi

How many settings do you have? I thought I only had 3 total (low, med and high). If it only works on the highest setting, look at the resistor pack. The pack knocks down the current to cause speeds other than high.

Good luck.

Well chit, my sincere apologies. :hail2: I really only remembered 3. :bang:

I'd start by probing the pack to see if voltage egresses to the motor in the dead settings. If two adjacent speeds are dead (they are), then the switch could also be suspect.

I'd just have to start testing things at those two spots, so bump for someone who has dealt with this and might know what idiosyncrasy to look for.

Sorry again for my bad memory.

haha its ok, i had to check my pictures to see if i was wrong :bang: ill have to get my dads multimeter and do some testing

I'd bet its the resistor pack, Ford used the same one since at least 1964. The one on my Mustang is junk and I haven't fixed it yet. It's gotta be about the most universal part ever, I used one from a 96 Villager on the ol 87 Escort :D
