I have a 97 Cobra with modest mods. I've done exhaust and 4.10s and thats about it. I just got another vehicle for my daily driver so now i wanna make my cobra really go. I'm looking for roughly 700hp. I ordered a tremec t56 and lts and i'll be putting those on within the next month. Addtionally, i'll be forging the internals soon running about 8.5 compression. i'll also be getting new cams. my question is...what blowers can get me to my desired hp range? twin-screw? centrifugal? any suggestions? i'm lookin to supercharge rather than turbos

A Kenne Bell isn't even an option unless you're willing to change the entire top end of the engine since the only kit available is non intercooled, with a maximum of 2.1L of displament. They don't make a big displacement intercooled kit for the "B" heads of the '97 Cobra and for what it would cost you to do the conversion, you're better off with one of the big centrifugal kits. A T-Trim, D1SC, or Novi, or one of the many single/twin Turbo set ups on the market is a more realistic choice...and even then you're gonna need to push them hard to make that kind of power. 700hp isn't exactly an effortless goal you know.

Lets be realistic here. Do you want 700hp because you're trying to reach a particular goal, or do you just like the sound of hearing yourself tell people you've got a 700hp car? You do realize that's enough power for 9-second ET's and is going to cost you upwards of an additional $20,000 to reach that particular power level, right?

i'm well aware of the additional costs incurred getting the car to that level of power. i appreciate the warning, but i really do want it somewhere in that range (i won't be heartbroken if i don't hit 700). Believe me this isn't just to say i have power. My buddy had a 95gt that was pushing 630 at the wheels and i want something comparable. I have a daily driver and two bikes as well so this car is now a project car and i plan on making it go as fast as i can. looks like i'll be heading the centrifugal route. i appreciate the advice

if you go centrifugal , stay about 9 to 1 compression
