Hello all,

Been a Mustang enthusiast all my life. When i was a kid my dad had a 1986GT, then my mom had a 97-93 GT convertible. Well, when it came time for me, I bought a 1990 GT in 2003, my freshman year in college. I owned that Fox for 10 years and regrettably sold it. Here's how she sat when sold:

She was bone stock when i bought her. Did most of the usual upgrades, but most notably:

- 331 SBF (forged internals) with Trick Flow H/C/I
- Cobra 5lug conversion with sn95 rear end and 3.73 gears
- MM suspension pieces here and there (CC Plates, RLCAs, Panhard bar)... it was also lowered on Eibach springs with Bilstein shocks.
- Corbeau Seats
- Upgraded many more parts (cooling, audio, etc. etc.)

Anyways, sold it to a guy. I kept in touch with him ever since. He's a big Mustang guy, especially Fox Bodies. I tried buying my exact car back many times and but I think he parted it out for other projects. Well he finally texted me that he's selling an almost clone of my old Fox. A red 1990 GT, although this one is mostly stock. He's doing a Cobra 5lug conversion for me, using the same rear end out of my Fox, but he swapped the 3.73's for 3.31's. Even using my exact New Edge GT rims for the 5lug swap. Its got Koni shocks and H&R springs, LX taillights and the gears, but otherwise bone stock. I'll be picking it up in the next couple weeks, but here she is. Excited to get back into a Fox Body. Fox 1.webp

*I did own a 98 Cobra after i sold the fox. Didn't touch the engine, but did MM Coilovers, MM RLCAs, MM CC Plates. It handled great but suffered from the stuck valve issue in the intake... forget the exact name of that issue. It revved high and was fun to drive but didn't have "it" for me.

I've already purchased a MGW short shifter for this one. Next on the list will be MM Full Length subframes, then RLCAs and panhard bar, all MM. I'm undecided on what to do with the motor on this one. I believe it has 167k miles.

Paint overall looks great. he did send me photos of a spot on the hood that will need to be corrected, or potentially the entire hood repainted. I'll have to see it in person and decide where to go from there. Not on the short list, but a 1.5" cowl hood and cobra rear bumper would be nice to have as well.

So he seems to always surprise me with parts that are on the car after telling me its 'pretty much stock'. Here's a list of what i know so far:

- MM C/C Plates
- FMS Aluminum Driveshaft - this is nice because its probably something i wouldn't have bought myself
- 5-lug with cobra brakes, everything brand new, MM proportioning valve, new e-brake cable
- 3.31 gears
- AP Exhaust Technologies cat back... i think this is like just a Summit brand exhaust?
- JBA headers (mine from my Fox i sold him)
- New tires, i can't tell exactly what they are from the pictures but i can make out "Motive" on one of the sidewalls
- New H&R Springs, he said he took out existing H&R Springs because they were too low, so maybe new springs just not as low
- Koni Shocks

I think that's about all i know for it right now.

I've already purchased a MGW Short Shifter, and some MM HD RLCAs from a member here.

Well i'm sure everyone is getting annoyed of me talking about a car that isn't mine yet, BUT, i believe i will take delivery this Sunday. Just depends on if i can get a ride to his house that day. He lives just a little over an hour from me. Here's the final version of what it will be:

Ive read a lot of horror stories of people whom bought cars from them and waited months for delivery, or even registration problems not even able to drive it legally!
Ohh, lol i hadn't heard of those issues but now your comment makes more sense to me! In all fairness, he did say one price with the parts just in boxes or another price for him to do the work. The price with the work was WELL worth the amount of work he did IMO - so the long wait is mostly my fault.

Well I wasn’t lying! Got her home today. She drove ‘well’, all stock gauges showed good readings. Oil pressure was good, temp gauge never even got past like 1/4 of the gauge, battery was good.

Couple things I noticed:

- needs an alignment
- needs like the tires balanced or something, steering wheel was shaking and even in neutral I felt a bump bump bump when coming to a stop, maybe even an out of round tire or dead spot
- cracked fog light lense
- definitely needs some TLC, will be buying like one of those LMR resto kits or something with weatherstripping and what not
- it brakes perfectly fine but when I got home I noticed the drivers outside pad didn’t seem to be making full contact on the rotor as you can see in the photo of said brake/rotor below

Other than that she felt good, shifted great, has some power (not enough), feels good getting behind a manual again… hadn’t driven a stick in like 8 years and didn’t skip a beat!
