blower resistor

ok finally got a blower resistor (reason why i only had hi on everything).....now i have low and the other speeds but alls i have is the window defrost option.....none of the others work.....its b/s......help asap

When the vacuum lines that control the vents get disconnected the HVAC system automatically defaults to defrost vents only for safety reasons so that you can always see out the windshield. Look for a disconnected vacuum line.

where did you purchase the resistor?

kilgore is right about the vaccume line

where would the vac line be...i got it from the dealer

there is vacumm lines running along the heater box.. the most common place for it to go off is the vacumm supply line in the passenger footwell.. also check the connections at the vacumm motors on the box itself.
