just bought 03 cobra today and blower whine is low but sweet. i was on highway in 6th and dropped to 3rd, around 5 to 6 grand i heard a sound similar to blowere whine but 10 times as loud. what that my belt slipping.? also going with catbacks first, will be awhile behore h or x-pipe. borla stingers or bassani? is it possible and how does it sound to just buy new bassani mufflers and leave rest, tips ,etc?

If you are trying to save a little $, then maybe just replace the muffs, but if you can afford it, replace the whole catback. Any of the kits on the market are easy to install and a great upgrade over stock. You can do it yourself in a couple hrs. The stock catback is crap.
