5th gear and 5000RPM? How fast were you going??
If running stock gears and tires, in 5th at 5000rpm you would be travelling approximatly 150mph, with the 4.30s around 115.
I am not a fan of VT but comparing VT to MMR is a joke. I would go with VT over them. VT has far greater customer service than MMR and a lot less failures...
Facts about the MMR failures please.

type in m o d u l a r d e p o t without the spaces in the x'ed out part of the above link. 4 different MMR failures in just one thread...
You also get to read how *great* their customer service is when you have a problem with something from them.
Hmm, is this correct? Stock gear numbers I mean. I do a lot of 135 mph runs, and thats usually around 5700-6000 in 4th (T3650). I've been to 150 once, but, I wasn't paying attention to the tach.
I think anyway, I'm trying to find a calculator. If I remember, 5700 in 5th gear was something insanely dumb like 250 mph or something. I'm probably wrong though now that I think about it.
