Blown GT track video footage..

Went to the track Saturday evening.. I made a best pass of 12.60 @ 111mph, and my best trap speed was a hair under 113 (112.92). Best 60ft was 1.887. Yes, I know that's horrible.. but, with the 3.27's and the 6spd.. I couldn't get off of the line for squat.. I was dumping the clutch at 5K rpm, and STILL bogging the hell out of the car. I crossed the line at around 5500 in 3rd gear! I did manage to yank a 6 liter GTO with DR's out of the hole (in the video), and I beat my friend's Lightning a few times.. he was running some 27x10" slicks, so he got the holeshot, but, I would reel him in by the 1000ft mark every time..

So, needless to say.. I need to install my 4.10's.. I wonder what the car would do on a set of slicks, with better gearing? I'd say high 11's for sure..

I see right at 7.5psi of boost after the intercooler/piping (measured at the plenum). I'm still on a bone stock windsor motor (2000 model), with right at 80K on the ticker.. I'm hoping to swap in my built teksid bottom end soon.. maybe this fall.. I have a bigger MAF and 55lb injectors ready to go in.. just need to get the built bottom end finished..

I sure hope so.. lol.. It's gotta be hell on the driveline launching at that kind of RPM, and bogging down..

I'm going to pick up some aftermarket axles, and at least rebuild my tracloc while I'm in there.. How strong is the factory posi if it's freshened up? Will it hold decently at the 400-450whp level on slicks?

I was running a set of 275/40 nittos.. the reason I'm bogging is because of the combination of the tall 1st gear of the T56, and the 3.27's out back.. The car hooks.. but, it can't rev out fast enough to get into the powerband.. so, it takes a sec for it to start moving..

The exporer diff is decent enough to hold the power that I'm going to put through it?

ahh.. cool.. does it matter which year Explorer it comes from?

Went back to the track last night with my 4.10's installed.. But, my alternator decided to explode on me.. Halfway down the track, the thing starts making all sorts of racket.. and locks up.. The car slowed up a bit, and I went 12.30 @ 111mph. I popped the hood, and the nut that holds the pulley onto the alternator was hanging on my 2 threads.. So, I cracked it with a hammer a few times, tightned the nut back down, and drove it home.. but it's making some God aweful racket.. But, nonetheless, I made it home, and I'm heading to ford tomorrow for a new alternator. I cut a 1.81 60ft.. which kinda sucks.. I'm still on stock rear suspension.. so I got a little bit of wheelhop before it hooked up. I guess some coilovers will be next on the list..
