Blown head gasket

Just been told that I have a blown head gasket on my 2001 GT (@47,000 miles) Stock. Die test supported this. Anyone heard of any problems with 2001 4.6 L engine, Going to cost $2,200 and more if the head is warped. Outside of warranty. Any suggestions?

Did you buy the car used? If so there might have been a poweradder installed at one time. To blow a headgasket at 47K just doesn't add up.

Car had 5,800 miles on it when I bought it used from the dealer.
