Not on my Mustang, thank God! Discovered I had a blown head gasket on the way to work the other day in my 2000 3.0 Ranger. I dropped the heads off at the machine shop today to be gone over. I will spend the next few days trying to clean all this gunk off all the other parts. I am planning on changing the new fresh oil after a few short trips in order to help clean the gunk out of the engine. Does anyone know of a chemical additive for the oiling system that will aid in breaking up this gunk, without harming the bearings and rings?
