Hi,

Does any one know any places in the UK to get various panels for a 1969 Mach 1? Found lots of places in the US but the shipping is gonna cost tons!!

Cheers
Euge

Hi drutt - you might give US Automotive (I'm not on a commission, honest!) as they ship in weekly and the volumes they ship will get much better freight terms than you do.

Otherwise, I've noticed that there is a shipping company that you ship your parts to in the US, and they then ship yours (and everybody elses) over together in one load weekly. You then get the benefit of the bulk shipping. I've never used them, but it sounds good, and I think they'll quote you for shipping, likely VAT and duty.

If you want more details, I'll dig out the advert (in American Car World, and Classic American mags).

you guy's really need to ply a GI with pints of greenking. Until he agrees to have parts shipped to his apo address :D

If I was still over there I would have done it for you guy's.

I tried it already!!

My work takes me in regular contact with the USAF boys (& gals) over here, but no amount of warm beer could convince them to ship me over a new Carlite...

I even built them a brand new Taco Bell - the busiest in the World and it's in the East of England!!

I think I have eaten there. RAF mildenhall?

you need to find a car minded GI. I wish I had been able to bring a classic over there. Probably would of turned quite a few heads. A lot different than the standard peugot's and such.

Yup Mildenhall was the old one. Built a new shiny one next door at Lakenheath.

There are a couple of decent cars cruising about there, but most of the servicemen don't import US tin any more, just drive beaten up old Volvos and stuff unless they're on a real long stay. Saw a cool red '68 vert several times though.

This discussion isn't getting us cheap parts though...
