I finally got these pics scanned in so I could post them. These are some pics of the wreck I was in back in November 1999. I had a great bodyman. Everything has held up well on the paint and body work.

Unfortunately my bodyman has left the shop and moved away. But he did move back recently, just not doing bodywork.

I'll have to get the paperwork out again, but if memory serves me correct, the 1/4 panels weren't as expensive as the inside door panel, it was $400. The door was from a donar GT from jy. When I find the bill I will post the prices for the repair. I know that a lot of the cost was labor, thats what increased the cost by $2000 from the estimate. Less than 6 months later, a shopping cart hit the same door, so back to the body shop again. Sorry wasn't thinking about the correct side when I posted the last pic, but here is one of the correct side.

I had to really dig, never noticed that most of my pics are of the drivers side

Take the side mirrors off, you can remove the mirror part or mask it off. Then buff lightly with real fine sand paper just enough to rough it up. I used the flat black and then shot them with clear, 4 or 5 layers or so with Plasti-Kote trim paint, the automotive paint that wal-mart sells. I'm sure any automotive paint would be fine too. But it holds up very nice, I think I am going on like 7 yrs now for the mirrors. Held up better than original because original was not painted it was just plastic color, I think. Its real easy and you will love the results. Just remember, the mirror housings are plastic, not metal!!! Careful sanding.
