the only places I've had to remove the paint from was the engine bay and the rear floorboards...everything else was replaced...but for those two areas I used a grinder with a wire wheel brush. It works good but you'll need several brushes b/c you can go through them in a hurry...especially if your surface is not flat

Theve got this stuff called "Aircraft Paint Remover" it comes in a blue can one smller and a one gallon size. You can get it at most parts stores.Stuff works great.Just dont get the spray and dont get any on your hands or any other surface you dont want to strip. Also if theres any paint left for some reason then reapply or scurb it off with a wire brush and soapy water.I love this stuff.its what I used on my core support and brake light assembleys.

just don't make the mistake i did with the stuff....

I was stripping the paint off the fender while it was on the car while i was wearing some mesh type shorts. I had put a nice coat on the fender, and i lean on it looking into the engine bay for some reason. The stuff went through the shorts pretty fast, and i went sprinting towards the water hose ripping of the shorts that had the stripper right on the crotch of em....Taht was some of the worst pain i've been through. BE CAREFUL WITH THIS STUFF, it works great but just don't make the mistake i did.

Yep, make sure theres none on you, if you leave it overnight not realizing it or something, it leaves nice sized burns... Takes awhile for the stuff to start burning though when its on you

you can get it a Autozone or Orielly's.The 1 gallon can is like 20-25$.Everytime I use the stuff I get it on me.Not alot but I always keep a 5 gallon bucket of cold soapy water and a scrub brush around to wash off my skin if it gets on.Like today I was putting the bumper/grille/and valance back on my car and I used the stuff to strip a part right in front of my car.I didnt think about and when I was tightening bolts I sat right in it and my butt started to tingle then burn. Its not extremley painfull or anything but I imagine if you leave alot of it on you itll do some real damage. It says on the back of the can to use a ventilator mask and long chemical gloves. If you see the can itll say "Low Odor Aircraft paint remover".The can is light blue and has an airplane on the front.I think pep boys also carries it.

The guy at the local paint store tells me that Jasco brand stripper works better than Aircraft Stripper. I can't say, since I always use Aircraft Stripper and like it.
