Just installed new trick flow heads, trick flow intake, 1.6 roller rockers, 70 mm throttle body, 75mm pro m mass air, 24lb injectors, 255 lph fuel pump, fuel pressure is at 42lbs. Timing is at 16 degrees. The car runs good at half throttle and when its at about 35mph I will hit it at WOT and it takes off like a bat outa hell, but when i floor it off the line it like goes nowhere and really bogs down. It runs worse then when the car was totally stock. I've notice that my idle will seem to go up and down alot on its own and the fuel pressure will move from 40 to 50 psi sometimes on it's own. I've been trying to tweak different things but nothing really seems to help. Do you think the car needs to be professionally dyno tuned with a custom chip. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would try disconnecting the battery for a while. Sounds like the car's ECU is trying to re-learn the new inputs after the swap and is confused based on what it had "learned" before.

Disconnect the battery (for at least 15 minutes) and let it reset. I think I had read somewhere to step on the brakes after battery disconnect and that helped reset or clear things out (don't know how accurate that is or how well I am remembering that).

After reconnecting the battery, reset the TPS and try and get it just below 1.0 (volts or amps - not sure which). Ideally 0.997 is good!

take the fuel pressure back down to 39 with vacuum off and plugged , if its fluctuating without reason its probably bad , timing should not have to be at 16 , back it down to 13-14 , get the air/fuel checked out with a wideband somehow , are you sure the MAF is calibrated for the 24s?

You mean take the fuel pressure down to 39, right? The fuel pressure could be surging because the idle is surging. I agree with starting off by clearing the computer.

When I first did my swap on my previous '92 (Edelbrock intake, TFS T/W heads, 1.7 roller rockers, E-cam, 75mm Bullet MAS, 65mm TB) she idled like she had some type of MONSTER cam in there.

I remembering a guy commenting at a stop light - something to the effect that it sounded wicked scary but the trade off was driveability. I knew it wasn't running right so didn't get into a discussion with him.

I ended up doing the process I described above and she settled right down and ran like a bat out of hell when I wanted her to.
