Bogging down ????

Does anyone have the problem of when you take off at the track or just foolin around when you punch it from a standing start and the motor seems to lag some and then take off?? I have an 03 GT and the problem happens at the worst times you know what I mean. Its always in first gear any ideas what this is or how it can be fixed???

I noticed it but only because I came from an 88GT with 3.73's and a bunch of bolt ons. The 4.6 isn't a huge torque producer like the 5.0 was. I see that you're having gears put in as well and that should help out alot. Also you might want to consider getting a timing adjuster,they've been shown to add up to 15 ft-lbs on the bottom end.

My '03 GT just started doing this at about 18,000 mi. Stomp on the go pedal and it takes a split second to respond. It didn't used to to do this either. I changed my fuel and air filters and it still does it. I haven't notice a decrease in gas milage though. I was wondering if maybe I had bent or dented an exhaust pipe and not noticed, but I saw nothing when I got underneath the car. It doesn't do it all the time either, Only when I really lay into it. I'm curious to see if more people have experienced this.

maybe instead of getting the 70mm t/b you should get a timing adjustor it helps a good amount in low end.

YES the traction control is off... any ideas how to fix ???or what it is????

mine did the same thing and it turns out i blew the clutches in my rear so an eaton took care of that!!!!!!
