Just rebuilt engine. Now hanging on Cherry picker. Started to bolt trans on and only one dowel pin will fully seat into the trans.. I'm stuck in the mall with wife right now so I figured I'd ask. Oh and I did double check that TC is fully seated and studs are thru flywheel. Thanks in advance fellas.

Are you using the same crank and flex plate ?
Are you using the same block and transmission ?
Sounds like the trans may be cocked to one side. You may have to back the bolt out on the closest side and give the engine a shake. If the dowel pins aren't almost perfectly lined up and the trans isn't tightened up evenly the dowel pins can get jammed.
If your not using the same block or transmission make sure there's no crud or a dowel pin already in the dowel pin locations.

I'd say that you might not have the converter fully seated into the front pump. If the converter is still not seated, it'll hold the whole assy off, and bolts wont go in.
