Boost gauge doesnt work......need help please

hi everybody. im working on a 04 cobra and the boost gauge isnt working. and if you look under the hood, some of the vacuum lines lok like they have bee capped off and i have no idea where anything goes cause im working behind somebody. would anybody happen to have a vacuum diagram for this car and could this be an issue why the gauge isnt working. any help would be greatly appreciated.

If I were at home I would try finding it in my digital service manual for ya. I do know that from the back of the gauge the line runs behind the dash & glove box. If you remove the glove box you can see the line. Maybe you could trace it from there and see where it passes through the firewall.

did you pull the needle for an overlay> I did and didn't get it back on right, but after re-doing it, it works fine.

no overlay. there are a bunch of vacuum lines capped off under the hood that go somewhere but dont know where. the car came from an auction and wasnt running right when brought in and the vacuum issues are one of the problems. i jsut dont have time to sit down and trace them so thats why i was wondering if somebody had a diagram of all the vacuum lines under the hood

Most guys prefer to turn off the boost bypass via the tune. Physically disabling it by rerouting the vacuum line is not recommended. Those picture do give you an idea of the routing for some of the vacuum lines though.

I know that, but at least it has a beginning of what it looks like???? maybe not.

yea its is a start. now all i have to do is look at the car and figure out what goes where....lol

I loaded up my maintenance DVD the other night, but I was unable to find a drawing that displayed the vacuum lines. It's not the best program to say the least...

Is there something specific I could take a picture of on my car and post for you???

lemme refresh my memory on what exactly im looking for but im sure that there would be something that you could get some pics of. its been about a week of so since ive looked at the car but im gonna get my hands back in it this weekend and let you know
