ok i put a manual boost controller on my car and now when ever my car goes over the 10 psi mark it bucks and kicks ... and i was wondering if the factory boost controller had to be unplugged cause i already unpluged it.......or maybe if its my knock sensor cuttin off fuel to my car and retarding the timing.......i need help?

what do you have the boost set at? what kind of controller? Yes you remove the stock one. What year t/c ? did it use to run fine @ 15 psi (preiemum mode..87-88)? Last time you did a full Motorcraft tune up? vaccum leaks? ...theres a start ;)

that is the exact same thing that my svo does, even after full tune up. under 10lbs runs great get over 10psi and it like the timming retards and cuts fuel... soo any ideas for this would be excellent

Check your spark plug gap and your coil. My coil bracket wasn't tightened
down good and the coil couldn't ground itself and therefore wouldn't burn off
my mixture right. it would buck under boost and sometimes have little pops at
a 70mph cruise in 5th.

i'm gonna do a tune up after work (love working at a car dealership) have one of the lead techs help make sure I got everything right, I presmogged my car and it failed due to hc's being about 50 over what the max was...

I'll post back see if gapping the plugs a little different will help, everytime i've done plugs in the past i gap to .34 any reccomendations to try?

well after playing on the dyno last night trying to get my svo to pass smog (which failed ---GP---) In diagnositic mode on the smog machine, I went WOT in second gear at 2300 rpm to watch the torque output, we did it twice, 1st: 308 2nd:306 3rd: 303 at ~4900 rpms
this is on my stock motor with 18psi...
I'm gonna try it again after the new engine is in...
