I just bought a pms second hand, I will be procharged pretty soon, do I need the 3 bar map sensor to do the tuning? What exactly is the deal with it? Any help is appreciated thanks.
i would get the 3 bar map. it allows you to tune fuel and timing acording to boost and not just rpm. if you dont have the map sensor you have to do all your tuning in the wot table. another advantage is that if your belt starts to slip and boost goes down, the pms will know and alter the tune so you get the most hp for the boost level your at. go to www.stangtuning.com there is a forum just for forced induction pms tuning. they also have base tunes listed that you can copy and then modify for your combo which will be good for you since you bought it second hand. if you buy it straight from afm they said you a base tune free. the base tune they sent me is posted on that site but i dont recomend using it.
