Glad I don't have a credit card or I would be doing some serious damage...

(8) Summit Racing COP's: $279.60
(8) NGK TR-6 spark plugs: $15.92
(1) MSD Digital Window Switch: $115.70
(2) Nitto 555R Drag Radials 315-35-17: $369.90

Total from Summit Racing: $781.12.

(1) Harris Speed Works Sudden Impact Wet Nitrous Kit (single nozzle): $399.99
(1) -4AN line purge kit w/intallation kit: $79.98
(1) Fuel Pressure Saftey Switch: $49.99

Total from Harris Speed Works: $561.69

If I could tune for nitrous with my Diablosport, freebie. If not, add in $250 for a great nitrous tune from our local speed shop.

Grand total of $1,342.81.

If my Diablosport doesn't work for a tune: $1,592.81...

That would keep me rather happy for a while.

There are other places I could spend that money on the car, if I don't fall asleep and get even more bored I might make another list...

But damn, think about it... for that price, I would be really hard pressed buy new cams w/ springs, retainers, seals, install them myself (need to purchase tools) and get a dyno tune for the $1,500... nitrous really is the king of bang for the buck!!!

The other end of the spectrum would be replacing worn out suspension parts, and some appearance mods (new headlights and a chin spoiler).

Wish I'd hit the lotto...

So I paid $7,800 for the car.
So far I have rougly $2,400 in parts/mods in it.
So total investment of around $10,200.
Add in the above of $1,342 and that brings it to... $11,542 or so.

Can't buy a Mach (yet) or 03/04 Cobra for that price. If I went the nitrous route, i'd hope I would hit mid-12's at least, faster than most mild-bolt on Mach's, and right around or JUST quicker than stock 03/04 Cobra's.

So when the nitrous pop's my motor then im down the hole for that... plus my clutch will need to be replaced soon, regardless of what route I take... Flywheel while i'm at it, oh... and I'm sure the old T-45 wouldn't like the nitrous too much.

Man, I need to occupy my time some other way...

Trust me, I feel your pain.

Seriously, it sucks. I work 2 jobs (60+ hrs/wk)...45 at Toyota as a tech, plus my part time at chick-fil-a and I still cant afford to dump any money into the car. There is so much I'd love to do, it just never happens.

That wantlist looks awfully familiar! With the exception of the COP's and fp safety switch, that pretty much sums up my mods for the past 6 months. I got the MSD digital window switch and it kicks ass! Also, don't forget a bottle warmer. Trust me, you'll need it!

Btw, if you can get a dynotune for $250 that is a pretty good deal! Our local mustang tuner charges about $350 as a starting point.

If you think about it, that's pretty inexpensive considering the payoff!

I got that kit last January for $289

I had been keeping an eye on it for about a year and pulled the trigger when I saw the price that low.

Yeah, I've heard great things about the MSD digital switch. Bottle warmer is a good idea also.

A local speed shop gives our Mustang group discounts on tunes, so it works out great.

What is the MSD Digital Window Switch? I've tried to search for it but can't find it. What is it and what does it do?

My wish list...

Comp 262AH cams $600
Cam tools $100-$200
MGW shifter- $180
3.73 gears and install- roughly $500-$600

Total: $1580 - $1380

This items would give me a nice seat of the pants boost and of course a big on my face.

It is an rpm window switch for use with nitrous oxide.

yeah, i bought my GT last october, and i have my 98 gt with a pi swap, and i mean, they're quick , but to me, and to most new cars, they are pretty slow. thats why im selling my 98GT , and not investing in my 03 GT, so i can buy a cobra....or maybe settle for a mach 1...

I seriously just want something thats gonna eat every car alive, and for me to spend 20k on a car (cobra). That is seriously ok with me. So....i cant wait till next summer.

And i will have it...I promised myself already...plus ive been saving for about 2 months now.

I am willing to wait till next summer to see what comes my way.

Everyone around me keeps getting faster and faster, and I'm stuck at the same pace. It sucks ass.

My buddy got an LS1 Z28 auto a few months back.

We raced while his car just had a catback, and it was 2 for 2, which really suprised me.

Now, within that short period of time, the bastard has an SLP lid, MAF, headers, catless Y, catback, 3.73's, and a tune. He is running 8.5's with no traction on BFG DR's and that car rapes from any speed now.

When we were younger, before we could drive we both knew one day we would end up with a Mustang vs. Camaro showdown, now that the time is here I don't have any more money to put into my car to keep up with him and its almost depressing... hahaha.

Remember those crap boxes have like 70 more cubes than our whips. I can't stand chevys but they are pretty fast. With your little list ya got there you'll be raping him, throw in some suspension and it'll stang FTW all day while he blows off his tires. But remember this also; Bowties are for little boys!

Yeah, the cubes make up a good bit of the difference, but holy crap they own when it comes to responding to mods!!!

I need some adjustable shocks and struts, ill be happy with that for now. LCA's down the road.

The only reason I would go with Nitto's is because I heard they hook well on the street and that they will last 15k miles if they arent abused too much.

I havn't taken my car to the strip in a year and a few months...

I've got a set of BFG DR's when that time comes though, but they are 15" and I don't want to run them daily on the car.

Not completely true! My friend has pulled some 1.7x 60's with his Nitto's in his '03 Cobra. But yeah, there are definately better dr's out there than Nitto.
