:bang: :bang: ..made the mistake of putting Borla (non race) mufflers on my off road h pipe (98 GT)..hmm.. i think my car was louder when it was BONE STOCK! Never do this...should have just listend to everybody else and went with 2 chamber flows and Off road H...but im a retard..ill fix it on friday.

I have borlas welded in on my car and they are pretty quiet, even with the catted x-pipe. However, before you get discouraged, have a friend drive your car down the block. I have found these mufflers quite deceiving, as they are very quiet inside the car. However, outside the car they sound significantly more agressive.

Are the "Stinger" mufflers? I doubt it, because mine are pretty loud - like SLP type loud.

Exactly how my car is.

Catted X with straight through Borlas.

Sounds normal at idle/low rpms. But get into it, and it'll have some balls.

im wondering if i just made the same mistake. i had a borla cat-back from a 98 saleen on and it was very loud and sounded awesome however the tailpipes didnt fit so i just bought a brand new one. so quiet i couldnt fool anyone that i have no cats.

Same here, I like the fact that normal driving its not to loud but when you get on it they will hear you coming.... Its your car and if you dont like it change it.
