I have borlas welded in on my car and they are pretty quiet, even with the catted x-pipe. However, before you get discouraged, have a friend drive your car down the block. I have found these mufflers quite deceiving, as they are very quiet inside the car. However, outside the car they sound significantly more agressive.

Are the "Stinger" mufflers? I doubt it, because mine are pretty loud - like SLP type loud.

Magnaflow and Borla certainly will flow more than Flowmaster 40s. But I was willing to trade a little flow for sound that was ruthless and full of rage.

Exactly how my car is.

Catted X with straight through Borlas.

Sounds normal at idle/low rpms. But get into it, and it'll have some balls.

No dammit. Get SLP Loudmouths and SLP's X pipe, offroad or catted whatever. They fit well, won't rust, and you'll turn heads.

im wondering if i just made the same mistake. i had a borla cat-back from a 98 saleen on and it was very loud and sounded awesome however the tailpipes didnt fit so i just bought a brand new one. so quiet i couldnt fool anyone that i have no cats.

http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=482002

ur mufflers look like that? i didnt have a choice for cat-backs from brothers performance. it showed up with the stupid phantom tips not the intercooled ones pictured. ive heard borla on other cars its not this quiet i hope it breaks in and gets louder

Same here, I like the fact that normal driving its not to loud but when you get on it they will hear you coming.... Its your car and if you dont like it change it.
