bosch 4+

2 reasons they dont work:

1) a spark can only ground to one post at a time... there for the other three posts do nothing. Electricity flow to the path of least resistance, so therefor, it could be said that there is a SLIGHT advantage. When the spark plug fires, the spark jumps to terminal 1... the second time the spark plug goes off... terminal 1 might not be the path of least resistance any more because it just had X amount of energy go though it so the park goes to terminal 3. So on and so forth. It is said that this helps the plug to keep cooler. But i really dont see how that is possible... considering where the sparkplut is located (in the cumbustion chamber). So if the statement is true, i dobt it will be of any significant power gain (read: not noticable)

2) those 3 other posts that are not being used are getting in the wait of air flow. That is a bad thing.

Just thought i would put my 2 cents in.

I just installed some NGK55's yesterday...couldn't be happier! They were all pretty much pre-gapped to .054 so it was nice not to have to rework 8 of them. (don't mean to steal your thread here - I lost one of the brass bolts that secure the coil to the side of the injector...the bolt has 8.8 stamped to the head with what looks like the letter A underneath...Can I go to Home Depot and try to find a replacement? IT's not like it is going to a moving part or anything...and I don't want to pay Ford like $20 for one b/c you know that is what they will charge)

for the bolt question. yes 8.8 and A is for graded metric bolt a bit harder to find but i'm sur you can find this at a good hardware store. PS. SAE bolts have line instead of numbers. no line cheap bolts, standard= 3 lines and i think it gose up to twelve for very hard bolts
