Anyone know a way to look up replacement bearings for a Bosch AL7534N alternator? I can't find anything. I hate to take it apart just to see if the bearings have numbers. And i don't want to disable the car that long.
Thanks
Thanks
I took one apart, but ended up just getting a new alternator. I recently scrapped it.
I actually think i took it apart to geat the bearings out to replace them, and couldn't for some reason. I bought a new Bosch AL7534N

Thanks. The town i live near is half dead with no decent resources for anything. We do however have a good second generation alternator-starter rebuild shop. Looks like a shop i would go in as a child. And it actually was there before me. I stopped in and the owner (the only employee) who i know sold me both bearings. He said if it's a Ford 3G these are it. So I'm going to try them. If not I'll go from there.
Hope you didn't throw away the 3G case and parts. Wish i had an extra to fool with.

The last (and hopefully last) alternator I rebuilt was not a 3G, and the bearings were part of a kit.Thanks. The town i live near is half dead with no decent resources for anything. I hope that guy sticks around for a long time.
That's actually a pretty common bearing, that's the same one most of the idler pulleys on the dump truck use.
Yeah I'm hoping so. His comment was "if it's a 3G these are the only 2 it could be." We will find out. That's actually a pretty common bearing, that's the same one most of the idler pulleys on the dump truck use.
