I see Canadian Tire has BOSCH Platinum 4, 2 & 1 Spark plugs on sale this week (Feb 4 to 10).
Anyone have experience or comments on Bosch plugs in the various configurations.
I need to change the plugs in my 1996, 4.6 l GT.
Thanks

Assuming your engine is close to stock, stick with the orginal Ford plugs trust me. I've seen many engines run like garbage because of those BOSCH plugs.

Yup, and the Ford plugs are cheaper than almost every plug at C.T. And in my opinion, quality of the Ford plugs are terriffic!

I tried some Bosch plugs in an F150 I had, the engine ran like crap. I went and bought the proper plugs from Ford.

Platnum plugs are better for longivity, but who's really going to go 100,000km before they're going to change their plugs again anyway? I know I sure as hell won't....I don't care what they claim. Standard copper plugs perform better and are cheaper all across the board.

All very good points but the originals are also platinum.

Uh huh, this is true, but it’s because Ford is trying to push the long interval tune up issue on all of its vehicles, like the other car manufacturers are doing......not because the platinum’s are a better quality, or performing plug.
