Bottoming out

Weird Question-New driveway/Drainage problems from hell, no going back(My house was starting to suffer). My 2000GT does not seem to like it. The "rails" under the sills bottom out. Enter in reverse, slowly, and angle the best I can. My local garage sugg. air shocks for $235. No gearhead, but would like input. It seems like 2" would do the trick. My crew cab and wifes SUV has no prblem, but most sedans would also suffer. Cant park on the street. Help

i dont even know if they are made but please dont put air shocks on a mustang. is your car lowered? if not then it already has 4x4 look adding 2" to that would look god awful. if it is lowered just put the stock springs back in. one thing to do would be to put boards at the bottom or you driveway. whenever you're coming in or out just get out and place them infront of your front wheels. that should give you enough lift to clear whatever it causing you to hit.

Mine is lowered and have issues with clearance on driveways and speed bumps

I installed custom subframes that take most of the abuse and I am also welding a skid plate on the center of my off road X

Thats how I took care of it

If you put on air bags it is all for show
If anything they will hurt your performance if you are concerned with that

If you did your research, you'll see that Air Ride Inc. proved that wrong. They could outhandle some cars with true coilovers while on air struts.

Think this a plan? I have a new engine, rear, and clutch. Hate to give it away. I think that 2' would do it, but I dont want it to look"Goofy" Thanks

Thanks, All stock susp., I hear you with the boards. Dont mind(?) 2", I hope, just dont want to flush another 2 bills down the drain.

what kinda tire are you on? low profile?, near stock sidewall?

Air Ride suspension from Air Ride Technologies. They make some high quality kits. My uncle had one on his Yukon and he loved it. You'll ride smooth and handle well. Periodically check for air leaks is all the maintenence it needs. His went from stock ride height to one inch higher to 5 inches lower. Air Ride Tech has complete bolt on kits for Mustangs.

Cool, thanks. I have a pick me up truck as the workhorse now, so the stang is entering the pampered stage. Could you suggest a bang for the buck exhaust. Taking baby steps here, just want to keep on par with the 05 and sneaky riceburners!
