The title issue is the only one I can answer. If MA is anything like IL, only one person on the title needs to sign for the sale. Only the registration needs two signatures, if registered to more than one person, if you transferred the plates over to the truck. So how did everything work out with dropping the truck off?

The suspense is over. I ended up getting two deals:

1. Go to court and fight about the truck, loose the Montero but keep the$3k minus lawyer fees and start over with another truck
2. They give me my $3k deposit back and I keep the truck with the deal we hammered out

I went in and made sure they did the work they said they would do (fix the windows, new tailgate trim, new center console, redetail it, new catalytic converter) and I TOOK THE TRUCK. I'll post some pictures as soon as I can.

I didnt want to go without a vehicle any longer and I knew they didnt want a vehicle in their lot that can not be sold due to the situation. This whole thing was such a pain in the ass and I am glad it is over. I have a two year warrenty from the dealership and once that is up this truck will find another home. For now it is my new money maker.

I learned some valuable lessons here; use your contacts wisely and do not trust anyone-especially used car dealers. Those guys are creeps, they have no back bones nor souls.
Thank you all for your words and advice. Tomorrow I turn 26 and it will be my first day with this thing fully in my name and completely road worthy.

Nice good going on getting that 3k back. Also, I think that we all learn about used car dealers in a bad way. I've ran into my share of bad ones.
Also, happy b-day.

Just curious, and you don't have to reveal anything if you don't want to, but what truck did you buy, what did it have for options, and what did you end up paying at the end of the day?

Thanks guys, the $3k back definatlly takes some sting out of it.

Adam I got a 03 chevy silverado 1500, its got the 315hp 5.3 liter v8, 4x4 reg cab, long bed w/liner, all options except leather just turned 70kmiles very good condition, some scratches. I have a tool box in the back to make things look better and hold all my tools and the paint is a silver gold metalic color if that makes any sense.

30+gallon tank, filled it up from empty $124...
