I just bought a 94-95 cobra intake manifold. Its kinda dirty on both the outside and inside. Can i just clean it with simplegreen and water or can i only use carb tb cleaner? will the intake rust if i use water?

It's aluminum and wont rust. You can try simple green and a good scrub pad.

I use Gunk Engine-Brite....the spray foam, and it cleans em sweet...wont hurt the paint either...for the inside, spray it down good and let it set 10 mins or so, then hose it out real good...

Find a BIG container enough to hold both or one at a time. Fill it with really hot water then poor in some simple green. Let it soak in there for a while then get a scrubbin.

Your car should love it with the powerdyne you have on there. Is the 94-94 a worthwhile upgrade over the stock GT intake manfold on a fairly stock car?

I hope it will love it even more when i switch to 9#'s in a few weeks .

I guess im gonna go start making an intake and simple green stew.

On a side note, im going to get a new TB as well. What size should i go with once i switch to 9#s and 36# injectors?

hey guys one more quesion. what gaskets do i need for the intake swap? I searched and found the fel-pro 1250, but thats only the lower intake gasket. What do i need for the upper intake gasket?. I found this at summit, but the gaskets seem to be cheeper versions of the 1250?
