Boxing upper & lower control arms

Is boxing the upper/lower control arms just welding a piece of metal across the open ends of the arms at the bottom?

Yes that would box them. Speaking of which I think I might do that. Either that or im going to build my own out of square tubing and spherical rod ends. If I box I would like to upgrade to some poly bushings. Know of any places for them?
