Hello, I have a few questions about braided fuel lines. What is the best way to cut them? Also, how are fittings attached to it and is there any special thread sealant needed? Can fittings be re-used? Thanks for the help!

The best way is with a hacksaw, tape up the lines tight and put it in a vise, use a 32t hack saw Bi-metal blade and cut them. Snip the stragglers with a pair of side cutters, use some oil on the fitting and press it into the hose, hold the fitting in the vise and tighten the nut. Use OIL only on the threads.

I use and recommend a set of soft jawz for your vise and a set of AN wrenchs to avoid beating up the fittings. They have re-usable fittings.

Should i be worried about the quality of the fitting? Is it worth the extra time to order them from reputable companies or will fittings from a local auto store be ok.

I like Aeroquip fittings, the Earls and Russel fittings are ok as well...Fragola sells decent stuff too.
