Brake Light (instrument cluster) comes on

So i was driving around lastnight and had to slam the brakes pretty good.
And the brake light in the instrument cluster came on. and stayed on for a minute or so and went off.

what does this mean?

And the brake light in the instrument cluster came on. and stayed on for a minute or so and went off.

what does this mean?

Brake fluid is low. Your pads are probably ready to be replaced. As they wear down, the pistons have to move farther to stop the car. Therefore more fluid is being pushed out of the can. And that's why you get the low brake fluid light.

That happened to me a while back. The fliud was fine. It was after I bleeded the brake after LT installation. It went away after 2 days.
