I have recently purchased just about everything i need to do the 5 lug Cobra swap on my 85 GT. I decided today that i want to go smaller so i can run 15" Weld Rims all the way around. Is there a kit that i can put together that runs smaller rotors out back?

Thanks

The factory SVO or 86-88 T-Bird SC brakes will do that. I believe it's a 10" rotor. That's what I have and it stops fine. You can get your axle flange and rotor redrilled for 5 lug. I'm sure there are other ways, but this is a cost effective way to do it.

I think 15" wheels will fit the rear Cobra disk setup. It won't fit the front Cobra setup though.

You might be able to get away with using the Cobra disks but you might want to ask in a SVT forum.

If not, trade a GT/V6 guy for his axle brackets, antimoan and rotors and run the 10.5" SN95 disks. Those WILL fit under 15's.

Up front, instead of 13" Cobra, you can run 99+ GT/V6 brakes with dual piston calipers. They should tuck under 15" wheels since 99+ V6's came with 15" wheels stock

I have a set of 5 lug ranger axles already, all that i need to know is whether or not i can use them with the Weld Draglite wheels in a 15" wheel, I need to know what axle brackets and caliper brackets to get since i have the northracecar brackets, and they proably wont work since they are for the cobra conversion, which houses an 11.65" Rotor.

You may be able to because I have the same exact setup and I was looking to mount some DR's on some 15" V6 wheels.

I asked around and the general consensus is that you can run 15's with the 11.65" rotors.

I have not confirmed it yet as i have not bought any 15" V6 wheels yet.

If you don't want to try it, sell off the Norch Cobra brackets and buy their other brackets for the 10.5" GT rotor. They make brackets for both setups.
